  • Summer 2022 Update
Hello Friends, As we get closer to the election, I had a few updates for everyone to know: 1) We successfully moved the Register of Wills office to a new, ground-level location with free parking and disability-accessible spaces available to the public. 2) We successfully lobbied the legislature to completely eliminate Small Estate fees effective 10/1/2022. 3) We successfully achieved four perfect legislative audit reports for periods between April 2007 and October 2021. 4) We successfully instituted online estate search, credit card payments, and copy requests. 5) We successfully created a central source for publishing estate related notices online available on our website. What we’re planning in the immediate future: 1) We’re leading an effort to create software to allow for easier estate administration and, eventually, e-filing. 2) We’re leading an effort to create a completely paperless office. 3) We’re creating and perfecting efficiency tools that both cut costs and increase productivity for the staff. I work every day to make the Anne Arundel County Register of Wills office the best office in the State. I appreciate all of you and your support. Thank you.
  • 15th Annual Breakfast with the Register (It’s back!!)
Dear Friends, I am overjoyed to announce that our 15th Annual Spring Breakfast with the Register featuring the famous breakfast buffet is BACK!!! This event will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Brian Boru Irish Restaurant and Pub, located at 489 Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park. For 15 years now, with your unwavering support and dedication to our cause, I have been able to serve you and the citizens of Anne Arundel County in their most dire of times. Throughout my time in office, I have come to cherish and appreciate just how many of you trust my ability to serve these families. You can count on my commitment to make this office as efficient and accessible as possible. We regularly review and improve processes, utilizing technology and common sense to reduce monetary costs, while increasing accessibility and availability for those members of the public utilizing our services. We are always open to suggestions on how we can improve our public service. In 2022, even in a (hopefully) post-pandemic world, when you call my office or walk in for service, we greet you with a live person. Having a personal experience with our public service takes the frustration out of a necessary process to protect the families. That is my promise – I will only endorse and provide service that enhances your experience and do this in the most cost-effective way. My staff is highly trained and ready to assist. My door is open to you, your kindness, your concerns, and your ideas. I look forward to seeing you on April 7th. Friends of Lauren Parker Gayle A.
